Newsflash: California’s First Lady says she’s ‘a Cafeteria Catholic’

Here is one that I bet you never saw coming….

“I start every one of my days praying,” says Maria Shriver, wife of California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. “I go to church every week. I went to Catholic schools my entire life.” But, says Shriver, when it comes to Church teachings, “I pick and choose… I think I’m probably a ‘Cafeteria Catholic.’”

Thine Eyes…A Witness to the March for Life

Check out this website, www.thineeyes.org for a new film project to raise awareness about the March for Life.

The film will specifically do four things:

1.     Provide accurate and artistic coverage of the 36th annual March for life to be shared with the world via DVD, Christian television networks and on YouTube.  A sub-point to be made here is that mainstream media presence and coverage will be tracked in this film.

2.    Include a fund raising appeal component on behalf of the prolife movement in general.  Viewers must know that the prolife movement raises roughly $50 million annually while our opponents raise billions.  This film will inspire prolife people to give time, talent and treasure to the prolife cause.

3.    Raise awareness about the March for Life and the prolife position, with a specific target – young people – with a message that is strictly based on the “conception to natural death” position, i.e., the magisterial teachings of the Catholic Church.

4.    To provide this visual resource to prolife organizations, schools, churches and any person or organization that wishes to make use of this resource.

Papist Chat with Archbishop Chaput

Here are a couple of good videos from American Papist.  He had an opportunity to sit with Archbishop Chaput recently and this is the result.  After you view the two videos, make sure that you share them with your family and friends.
