School Choices at a Glance
Here is a very information article about how each of us are called to educate our children. Parents “have the mission of educating their children in the Christian faith.” Pretty strong words that are not to be taken lightly.
For some this may be the parish school. For others, it may be homeschooling or the public school. The bottom line is that parents have a responsibility; not a right, not a choice but a responsibility to make sure that their children receive a Catholic education. As a father of seven children, I know that not all kids are the same. What is best for one may not be what is best for others.
I encourage everyone to look at their options and make the right choice. Too often it is left to chance. “We will send them to the Parish school because that is where I went” or “We will send them to the public school because that is where their friends are going.”
